Warriors Host Auckland Fencibles

The Warriors are very proud to be hosting the touring Auckland Fencibles Rugby League Club, led by former Kiwi and Auckland Warriors star Tony Tatupu. Accompanying the tour group will be a production crew from New Zealand’s Maori TV (MTV). The confirmed production staff will be 5 members, led by former Kiwi Rugby League legend Tawera Nikau. Tawera’s colorful professional Rugby career included contracts with the Melbourne Storm (AU), Castleford Tigers (UK), and his native country of New Zealand. The New Haven Warriors will be hosting the entire tour party at the Black Bear Saloon in downtown New Haven after training Tuesday the 19th, Wednesday the 20th, and finally Thursday the 21st of August. An exhibition match is planned for Wednesday the 20th at the Warriors’ home ground in New Haven.
